Class One = Bravo

Thanks so much to the eighteen singers who joined on Wednesday evening for our first rehearsal of 2021 and the singing of Mozart's Ave Verum and Puccini's Kyrie from his Messe di Gloria. A most enjoyable final note in both cases.

Re. maestro's instruction on breathing technique, remember the Italian expression of the ‘noble chest’ - il petto nobile - and the ballet dancer’s stance.

Have a look through the scores as it will help when we next meet. We’ll definitely be singing Handel's Since by Man from his Messiah and Mendelssohn's extract from Elijah.

Sitting up tall, chest expanded, shoulders relaxed and lungs filled ... here we go !

Have a very good weekend,
